To help our partners spread the “Make Mine Chocolate!™” message, we have prepared a package of marketing materials:
Feel free to download these materials and use them to support your efforts to educate the general public about the responsibilities of rabbit guardianship.
You may freely distribute these materials as long as you make no changes to their content other than attaching a label with your organization's contact information. You must receive permission from the “Make Mine Chocolate!™” campaign prior to making any content modifications.
If you have suggestions for improving our marketing package, please contact Susan Mangold.
Our Partner Brochure
The partners brochure is an invitation to rabbit rescues, animal welfare organizations, veterinarians and other interested organizations and individuals to participate in the campaign. If you know of organizations and individuals who might be interested in the campaign, please send them the brochure or provide us with their contact information.
The partners brochure targets potential partners. The flyer, in contrast, was created to help educate the general public about the campaign, and to invite them to learn more about rabbit care and guardianship responsibilities. Hand it out to interested individuals and post it in appropriate public locations, such as bulletin boards at veterinary clinics, libraries, and other locales. We also have a black-and-white version.
Our 2006 Color Flyer
Our color flyer (size: 127kb) was created with the help of a public relations professional. Its simple and colorful design effectively conveys the “Make Mine Chocolate!™” message. Post it on bulletin boards throughout your community.
Our Television and Radio Public Service Announcements
Thanks to the Las Vegas House Rabbit Society, Spectra Video Productions, and actor/comedian Rich Little, the “Make Mine Chocolate!™” campaign has a public service announcement! Both television and radio versions are available. You may be surprised to learn that your local television and radio stations will play these for a modest cost. Use these important communication media to help spread the “Make Mine Chocolate!™” message!
Our Print Advertisement
Advertisements placed in neighborhood and city newspapers can reach a broad audience of parents, grandparents, and others who might be considering giving a rabbit as a gift. Use our “Make Mine Chocolate!™” black and white advertisement (size: 82kb) to educate your community. A color version (size: 85kb) is also available.
Our Print Advertisement in a Business Card Size
In response to requests, we now offer the “Make Mine Chocolate!™” campaign advertisement in a convenient business card size (size: 294k).
Letter to the Editor
Sending a letter to the editor of your local newspaper is an economical way to share the “Make Mine Chocolate!™” message with a broad audience. Use our Letter to the Editor template as a starting point for creating your own letter.
Our Business Cards
The “Make Mine Chocolate!™” campaign uses pins, magnets, and clothing as one means by which to spread the campaign's message. Our hope is that they will create opportunities for educating the public about the campaign. Passing out “Make Mine Chocolate!™” business cards (Avery #8371; size: 131k) is an effective way of reinforcing the message and encouraging potential rabbit guardians to visit our website.
Sample Press Release
During the Easter season, the local press (print and television) may be receptive to a timely story on the “Make Mine Chocolate!™” campaign. Our sample press release provides a starting point for negotiating with your local press. Your organization will also benefit from the added visibility within your community.
Merchant Introduction Letter
Local veterinary clinics, pet supply stores, and other merchants may be willing to display “Make Mine Chocolate!™” literature and products. Use our merchant introduction letter to help you win the support of your local merchants.
Build your own “Make Mine Chocolate!™” merchant boxes. An attractive display box, small enough to sit on the checkout counter, may be just the thing to convince your local merchants to support our campaign!
Raise awareness of the “Make Mine Chocolate!™” campaign by mailing our postcards to interested individuals. They are an economical means of using snail mail to convey our message. Their small size also makes them useful for busy bulletin boards.
Share our message with the world by attaching “Make Mine Chocolate!™” envelope labels (Avery label # 8160) to your mail!
Photographer Poster and Letter
Easter is often the occasion for professional photographs of young children in their Easter best. To convey the desired “Easter” theme, live rabbits are often used as props. The sad truth is that these living props are often dumped, in a shelter or outside, once they have served their purpose. Help us stop this cycle of abandonment by just saying “No!” to the use of live rabbits as photographic props. Spread the word by distributing our poster and letter to parents, grandparents, and local photographers.
